PRP Method

They are materials extracted from blood in order to renew, repair and strengthen the scalp. After drawing 10-20 ml blood from the patient, red blood cells are separated from the blood through a special centrifuge and micro-filtering methods, thus rich plasma materials such as thrombocyte (platelet) and white blood cells are obtained. Thrombocytes are activated and release tissue-regenerating elements as soon as they react with damaged tissue. Therefore, rich materials both help to prevent hair loss and shorten the recovery period after hair transplantation.

How is PRP applied?

First, blood tests are performed on individuals who require PRP treatment. Then, the blood from the patient is transformed in a centrifuge and the PRP in the blood is separated and removed. The PRP taken from the body is passed through a special operation. The red blood cells and the white blood cells in the contents of the blood are separated from each other. Thus, platelet-rich plasma is obtained. The rate of platelet in this obtained PRP vaccine is normally 2 to 3 times higher.

This produced PRP vaccine is injected into the hair follicles via fine-tipped injectors. Thus, the hair revitalizes the roots, thickens the hair and increases the density of the hair. At least 2-3 sessions of PRP treatment may be required. The time between sessions is about 3 weeks. From the first session, the hair follicles start to grow again immediately and the hair begins to appear.

If PRP treatment is applied ones in a year, the effectiveness of treatment is increased and the continuity of it is ensured. It is a preferred treatment method especially woman-type hair loss, in that hair loss observed the whole scalp.

What are the advantages of PRP?

As the product is obtained from the patient’s own blood, it is not possible for the body to reject the material, a disease to be transmitted or some troubles like an allergy to arise. Thanks to the content of the product, damage caused by the needle during the application is recovered in a short time. New collagen is produced and new veins are ensured to be developed. Damages in tissues are removed and new tissues start to grow thanks to the growth substances. Also, hormones like vitamins have many nutritive factors and are applied very easily.

PRP treatment is applied during hair transplant or after hair transplant, in order to regenerate, repairing and strengthening hair follicles and scalp. With special centrifugation and microfiltration methods, the blood from the patient is separated and a rich plasma material is obtained. The regenerating power of this plasma is quite high. With this method, it helps to prevent hair loss and accelerate the healing process.
